Under current EU laws bus, coach and large goods vehicle operators seeking an 'O' licence must show that they are professionally competent or employ someone as a transport manager who meets the legal requirement required.
What this means is an individual can only be professionally competent if they have passed the Road Haulage Transport Manager CPC examination set by the Oxford, Cambridge and Royal Society of Arts, Examinations Board (OCR).
Our twelve-day Transport Management CPC course is approved by OCR examination board and offered on behalf of the Department for Transport. It provides up-to-date and relevant training for those seeking to enter the field of Transport Management and proves the professional competence level required to meet Operator's Licence standards.
At LGS we offer on-line testing for the case study multiple choice exam which enables us to receive immediate results. We’re proud to say we have very knowledgeable instructors who deliver this course and have a very high first time pass rate as a result.
If you’re applying for a restricted ‘O’ Licence you will also be taking responsibility and ownership for your vehicles conditions, loading and working / driving hours amongst many other things.
To ensure you’re fully aware of your legal obligations LGS offer a very popular one day competency training day to ensure you’re fully aware of all the necessary undertakings you’ll be responsible for.
