Category C 1 - vehicleS UP TO 7.5 tonnes

The Category C1 Licence allows the licence holder to drive vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes. You do not have to take this licence prior to taking a Category C Driving Licence.

However, if you require only a Category C1 driving licence, for example to drive an emergency services ambulance etc, then an ambulance sized vehicle can be supplied for your training and test.

It can be quite overwhelming to try and sort through the different steps required to attain your new driving licence, however by using Western Driver Training we allow you to concentrate on homing your skills whilst we take the lead and arrange everything for you.

The first steps to becoming a professional driver is to ensure that you have a full car licence and that you are aged over 18 years old.

Courses are generally supplied over 3 or 5 days and can be scheduled to suit a students requirements. Driver training can be delivered on a one to one basis or two students to one instructor, giving more time in the vehicle which from our experience can be beneficial. Although the actual practical driver training only takes about 5 days, the whole process can take between 6 and 8 weeks, so it is important to book your training with a company that has experience of the complete procedure, to save you time and money.
